BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380 sighted again, this time en route to Telus
You've probably seen the BlackBerry Curve Touch 9380 before. Research in Motion hasn't officially announced it yet, but it made an appearance on the company's official dev site as well as plenty of spy shots and videos. This time, we know that at least one carrier's paying attention to it. MobileSyrup obtained an image of the new all-touch BlackBerry being splayed all over a Telus holiday gift guide, which doesn't give us any details besides having a tiny 3.2-inch display, so we'll need to hold on for just a bit longer to hear what else it's got under the hood.
[Thanks, Dale]

webOS 3.0.5 clues point to integrated Twitter, better performance for your TouchPad
If you're the lucky owner of a rare 2011 TouchPad, the onus is on you to keep it clean, polished and updated. Sure, you've already got a decent Twitter client in the form Spaz HD, and you're getting extra snappy performance from webOS 3.0.4, but web chatter indicates that something even better could be on the horizon. Developers have started tweeting via 'webOS Synergy', possibly hinting that integrated Twitter could be on the way in 3.0.5. What's more, another TouchPad owner running that newfangled version has submitted an impressive score to Lithium BenchMark, suggesting it might deliver a performance bump too. The duck may be dead, but the dream lives on.

Google Offers app goes live in Android Market
Detest checking your email constantly for the latest offer from Google? If you've got an Android 2.1+ device, the Goog itself just outed an alternative. The Google Offers app just went live in the Android Market, bringing deals near your current (select) location into an easy-to-digest piece of mobile software. No, NFC's not required, and yes, you can redeem it straight from the phone -- so long as the store you're visiting has someone with intellect and eyes. Hit the source link (or the Market on your handset) to get your download on, and feel free to chuckle as you realize that it'll remain up way longer than Gmail did for iOS.

Motorola Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition get official (video)
Not exactly one for the shocking column here, but Motorola has officially revealed the Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition today. The Xoom 2 rocks a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 3.2, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 10.1-inch display. It also offers up front and rear-facing cameras at 1.3 megapixel and five megapixel, respectively, plus Motorola's new Splash-guard protection. The Xoom 2 Media Edition features similar specs, save for its 8.2-inch display size, which, like the standard Xoom 2, has Gorilla Glass protection. It also promises a 20-percent improvement over the original Xoom in the graphics department, which, along with a 178 degree viewing angle make the tablet optimized for media consumption, as the name implies. Thus far, availability for the similarly named tablets has only been announced in the UK and Ireland, where it will hit around the middle of this month through retailers like Carphone Warehouse.

Ice Cream Sandwich coming to Meizu M9, MX, Jack Wong confirms
Ice Cream Sandwich continues to march its way across the market. Next stop? The Meizu M9 and MX. Confirmation came earlier this week by way of Meizu CEO Jack Wong, who nonchalantly mentioned the forthcoming update on his company's forum. Affirming that the MX's December "release date remains unchanged," Wong went on to say that both the MX and M9 "will upgrade to [Android] 4.0 as soon as possible." No further specifics were offered, though the exec did explain the MX's delayed release, attributing it to his company's ongoing efforts to incorporate a sharper, back-illuminated camera within the handset. Rest assured, we'll keep you up to date with the very latest.
