Bright House Networks customers, your off-brand Time Warner Cable experience now includes live TV streaming on your iPad. The Bright House TV tablet app has hit iTunes and is, unsurprisingly, a direct clone of the
TWCable TV app, although it's not the latest version as it doesn't have
parental controls yet. Otherwise it's basically the same experience, complete with the restriction to using it at home on your own WiFi network and its initial
unfriendliness towards jailbroken iPads. there's no word on which channels are available, but we wouldn't be surprised if they also mirror the Time Warner list. If you're jailbroken, check the
MacRumors link below for a workaround, otherwise you can just head to iTunes and download the app directly.

Well it is good Bright House is giving their customer some options for viewing, not sure how much value it will add to the brand, but hey subscribers can stream television channels to their iPad anywhere; in their house. When I think about something like that, I look at my house of course since I am not in anyone else’s house. I have three televisions in my house, the living room 46 inch; the office and bedroom have a pair of 36 inch televisions. I love my iPad, even if it does have a 10 inch screen, its perfect for a “mobile” device, but not that great for a home television. Working at DISH I watched as the industry embraced streaming with open arms, and then throw it in the house and locked it up like an animal. Streaming should be free, which is why I love the Sling Adapter I bought. It allows me to stream all my live channels and recorded shows to my iPad no matter where I am, giving me a true TV Everywhere experience.
